CSI made a television revolution with its innovative and cutting edge update on a standard series concept. Instead of simply "whodunnit", solving crimes was a matter of "howdunnit", and with what size shoe, and whether anyone left behind traces of evidence that the blue ALS light could pick up. Now that gritty approach to crime known as forensic science makes its way from Las Vegas to the streets of Florida in CSI: Miami. A whole new team of crime scene investigators is on hand to probe the seamy underside of what some refer to as Cuba North and others call Georgia South. Seinfeld has won a few Emmy Awards, the George Foster Peabody Award for 1992 and many more, but has a far more loyal fan following than any awards could account for. Seinfeld is a show about nothing; however, for a show about nothing, this show has many complex plots, sub-plots, is very well written and put together. The series is Written by Tad Dibbern and is America's third most popular program, reaching the number one slot the following year and never dropping below second place for the duration of its run. The premise of this sitcom is Jerry and his friends going through everyday life, discussing various quirky situations that we can all relate to (especially if we live in New York). The eccentric personalities of the offbeat characters who make up Jerry's social circle contribute to the fun.

The Bachelor is a TV show that explores the mercenary nature of mankind in ways undreamed of in the late, unlamented one-shot special Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire? The central "character" was Alex Michel, a handsome, 31-year-old Harvard grad and management consultant. As a fairly prosperous bachelor, Michel was chosen by the series' producers to live in a posh Malibu beachfront mansion, while 25 eligible females all of whom, by an amazing coincidence, looked terrific in bikinis and gowns competed to become Mrs. Michel. At the end it can be concluded that The Bachelor is fun but false show.

Secret Diary of a Call Girl is a TV series depicting the life of top high class call girls in the city of London. Belle is played by Billie Piper in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The controversial sex scenes also resulted in a nomination for best soft core production at the "UK Adult Film Awards". The series is based on a Luis Bunuel film that casts Catherine Deneuve who plays the role of a prostitute named 'Belle de jour', which when translated from French to English means 'Beauty of the Day'. Secret Diary of a Call Girl is a series that aspires to be a candid, incisive look at the oldest profession, but mostly it stares at it lasciviously and with censorship in some regard: all the steamier bits, sexually transmitted diseases, repulsive clients, police records, drug habits are mostly ignored.

The L Word teased its viewers as to what the "L" stood for in its opening credits sequence, in which a long list of "possibles" rolled past the screen: Laughter, Lattes, Luxurious, Lullaby, Libido, etc. Of course, the letter stood for "Lesbian" -- in this case, a tight-knit group of beautiful lesbians, all living and working in Los Angeles. The episodes focused on the relationships between the principal characters, their family members (some accepting their sexual preferences, others looking askance), their friends, and their "outside" lovers. Jennifer Beals topped the cast as Bette Porter.

The show uses a reality television format, following the personal lives of several young adults living in Los Angeles, California, but tends towards a narrative format more commonly found in scripted genres such as soap operas. The series originally followed the personal life of former Laguna Beach star Lauren Conrad and her friends' new lives in Los Angeles. After five seasons, Conrad chose to leave the series, and was replaced by another former Laguna Beach star, Kristin Cavallari, beginning in the second half of season five.

Drive follows the lives of a group of Americans racing each other in a sinister and possibly fatal cross-country race. Each person has a special reason to compete and each person strives to win because of their respective reasons. Among the racers are two brothers in a stolen, posh Cadillac that carries secrets of its own, a man trying to find his missing wife, a scientist and his teenage daughter, and others. No one knows who they're racing or where the finish line is, so anything is possible. Hurricane Katrina survivors Ivy Chitty, Leigh Barnthouse and Susan Chamblee are determined to start their lives over and help rebuild their fallen city with The Races winnings.
