Merlin is a British fantasy-adventure television programme by Julian Jones, Jake Michie, Julian Murphy and Johnny Capps. The show is based on the Arthurian legends of the wizard Merlin and his relationship with Prince Arthur but differs from traditional versions of the legend in many ways. It is produced by independent production company Shine Limited. Merlin was influenced by the U.S show Smallville, about the early years of Superman. Sherlock is TV series that is a collaboration between Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, who both had prior experience adapting or using Victorian literature for television. Moffat had previously adapted the Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde for the 2007 series Jekyll, while Gatiss had written the Dickensian Doctor Who episode "The Unquiet Dead". Moffat and Gatiss, who are both Doctor Who writers, discussed plans for a Holmes adaptation during their numerous train journeys to Cardiff where Doctor Who production is based. One of the few new TV series of the 2001-2002 season to earn almost unanimously good reviews is the weekly NBC comedy drama Scrubs, which was created by Bill Lawrence. Two and a Half Men is an American television sitcom that premiered on CBS on September 22, 2003. Starring Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Lipstick Jungle is a dramedy following the professional and personal lives of three best friends, all of whom are top professionals in their respective careers.

Boston Legal returns to tell the professional and personal stories of a group of brilliant but often emotionally challenged attorneys. Fast paced and wildly comic, the series confronts social and moral issues while its characters continually stretch the boundaries of the law. Back-to-back Emmy Award winners James Spader and William Shatner play Alan Shore and Denny Crane. Zoey meets her first friend Chase Matthews, who, after meeting her, realizes that he has a crush on her. Zoey then meets her roommates, tomboy Dana Cruz and boy-obsessed, girly-girl Nicole Bristow .

The Lying Game is an American drama television series produced by Alloy Entertainment and Warner Horizon Television for ABC Family. The show is based on a series of novels of the same name by Sara Shepard. the series is about Emma (Alexandra Chando), a foster child who finds out she has an identical twin sister, Sutton (also played by Chando). Both girls were separated at birth with Sutton being adopted by wealthy parents and is seemingly living an ideal life. Meeting prior to the pilot episode, Sutton talks Emma into stepping into her life for a few days while she pursues their birth mother in Los Angeles.

In the TV series Cleaner, Benjamin Bratt plays William Banks, a recovering addict who helps others get clean by any means necessary as he struggles to maintain his own rocky personal life. Worst Week is an American TV series which originally aired on CBS from September 22, 2008 to June 6, 2009. The series was based on the British sitcom The Worst Week of My Life. The show was adapted for American audiences by Fox under the title Worst Week of My Life, but the series failed to materialize after the pilot was filmed. The series aired on CBS Mondays at 9:30pm ET/PT, following Two and a Half Men. It reached a high viewing of 12.12 million viewers with the eleventh episode but declined afterwards. The Series is currently being shown in Ireland on RT Two, Sundays at 3:40am. In many ways, Worst Week seems incapable of being adapted for American TV.

The show revolves around a corporation running numerous underground establishments (known as "Dollhouses") across the globe which program individuals refer to as "Actives" (or Dolls) with temporary personalities and skills. Wealthy clients hire Actives from Dollhouses at great expense for various purposes. The series primarily follows the Active known as Echo, played by Eliza Dushku, on her journey towards self-awareness. Dushku also served as the series producer.

Brought to you by the same minds behind The Office, Parks And Recreation is a wonderful series that takes viewers into the exciting world of local government. The main character Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), a mid-level government employee of the Parks and Recreation Department of Pawnee, Indiana, is assigned to help local nurse Ann Perkins (Rashida Jones) to convert an abandoned construction site into a new community park. The show leaves every one not only laughing hysterically but also rooting for Leslie and her committee. The show is a welcome addition to my weekly TV schedule, and is worth checking out more than once.

That's So Raven is a TV series that revolves around the life of Raven Baxter, a teenager who can see glimpses of the future. A lot of the time, her visions cause problems because she doesn't see everything that will happen, only about 5 seconds of the future. Her friends, brother, and parents always get into trouble because of her visions. Raven and her friends Eddie Thomas and Chelsea Daniels always have wacky mishaps trying to follow the visions. Her family life is also wacky with her parents Tonya and Victor and her younger brother named Cory.

Wife Swap is a TV series that is not a competition or a contest. It is a reality show unlike any other, where the battlegrounds are the kitchens and living rooms. Child-rearing is a subject of intense and heated debate, and the outcome isn't a cash prize, but a couple's opportunity to re-discover why they love each other and decided to marry in the first place. The wives move in with their new family and adopt their very different lifestyle. When Wife Swap premiered in 2003 in the United Kingdom, it was an instant television phenomenon. The program has won numerous awards, most recently the prestigious BAFTA Award for best reality show.

In this show, Mark Duplass as Pete Eckhart playing the main role and he is very much famous and have become the three-time champion of the league; recently separated from his wife. The Bachelor is a TV show that explores the mercenary nature of mankind in ways undreamed of in the late, unlamented one-shot special Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire? The central "character" was Alex Michel, a handsome, 31-year-old Harvard grad and management consultant. As a fairly prosperous bachelor, Michel was chosen by the series' producers to live in a posh Malibu beachfront mansion, while 25 eligible females all of whom, by an amazing coincidence, looked terrific in bikinis and gowns competed to become Mrs. Michel. At the end it can be concluded that The Bachelor is fun but false show.

Encouraged into action by her best friend Ellie Torres (Christina Miller) and her garish assistant, Laurie Keller (Busy Phillips), Jules enters back into the dating scene only to struggle with her ideas (and societies) about how to behave when you are 40 and single. The single camera comedy comes from Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence and co-executive producer Courteney Cox. Cougar Town is produced by ABC Studios.

New Girl is an American television sitcom that premiered on Fox on September. It stars Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris and Hannah Simone. On September 28, 2011, after two episodes aired, Fox ordered an additional 11 episodes to the initial 13-episode order, bringing the first season to 24 episodes. New Girl has received favorable responses from critics since its conception, with many giving particular praise towards Deschanel's performance. In December, the show was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series Musical or Comedy.

Without a Trace is an American television drama which originally ran on CBS from September 26, 2002 to May 19, 2009. The series was set in New York City and concerned a fictitious FBI Missing Persons Unit. Each episode usually followed the search for one individual under tight time constraints. The stories also focuses on the personal lives of the team members and illustrates their various experiences and how it gives them insight into certain cases. The show was the first ever to score strong ratings opposite longtime NBC hit ER, which, like Without a Trace, is produced by Warner Bros.

Defying Gravity takes place in the near future and focuses on the lives of eight astronauts from five different countries on a six-year mission through the solar system. The team is on a mysterious mission that is closely being followed by ground personnel. Each episode is divided between the present mission and flashbacks that show the selection process each astronaut went through to become part of the project. The reality however is that none of the crew is aware of the real purpose of the mission, the result of an encounter with an alien. The challenges they faced in being selected for the mission are revealed.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is an American reality TV series for the Bravo cable network. The show features the rich and privileged housewives of Beverly Hills, and it premiered on October 14, 2010. The show became very popular and the producers decided to start season 2 again which is in the process of re-editing after the death of Taylor Armstrong's husband, Russell. Starring Joseph Fiennes and John Cho as Mark Benford and Demetri Noh, two FBI agents assigned to investigating the unknown cause of the two minute blackout. The team investigates a number of events related to the flashforward, including "Suspect Zero". Meanwhile, personal revelations contained within the flashforwards occupy the personal lives of the principal characters.

Shark is a TV series that revolves around the main character Sebastian Stark, who is an L.A. hot-shot lawyer and who leaves his lucrative career as defender of rich criminals to join the public prosecution under the District Attorney (D.A.). A group of young prosecutors are about to have the learning experience of a lifetime because, although Stark is seeking to redeem himself, he has no intention of cooling his underhanded approach to cases just because he's now working for the "good guys". In nearly every episode a criminal is found out and put behind bars, after testing out tactics in Shark's private mock court which is very interesting to watch on TV.

The 4400 show is a popular TV series that draws many viewers. Knight Rider is a TV movie based on the iconic 1980s series that originally starred David Hasselhoff. The original series revolved around a former cop cut down in the line of duty and left for dead, but is soon recovered by a clandestine law enforcement agency who surgically alter his appearance, change his identity, and provide him with an incredibly powerful talking car that aids him in opposing criminal forces that operate above the reach of traditional law enforcement. Years later, Michael and KITT have vanished, but their legacy has not been forgotten. Now the wayward lost son of Michael joins F.L.A.G.

In Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, a Thracian slave leads a revolt at a gladiatorial school run by Lentulus Batiatus. The uprising soon spreads across Italy involving thousand of slaves. The plan is to acquire sufficient funds to hire ships from Silesian pirates who could the transport them to other lands from Brandisium in the south of Italy. The Roman Senator Gracchus schemes to have Marcus Publius Glabrus, Commander of the garrison of Rome, lead an army against the slaves who are living on Vesuvius. When Glabrus is defeated his mentor, Senator and General Marcus Licinius Crassus is greatly embarrassed and leads his own army against the slaves.

Luck stars Dustin Hoffman as Chester "Ace" Bernstein. In his late 60s, Bernstein has had a long and apparently profitable career in organized crime, primarily in gambling. He has just served a three-year term in federal prison in California, from which he is released as the series opens. In the pilot episode, Ace's longtime driver and factotum, Gus (Dennis Farina), picks him up at his release. On the drive to Ace's home in Los Angeles, Ace confirms that Gus has become the registered owner of "Pint of Plain," a promising Irish racehorse whose purchase was arranged by business associates of Ace while Ace was in prison. The horse is being trained at L.A.'s Santa Anita Racetrack by Turo Escalante (John Ortiz.)

On the Bravo network, the sixty-minute reality series Project Runway had much in common with UPN's America's Next Top Model (a spinoff of the Emmy-nominated series Project Greenlight), an all-new behind-the-scene documentary series and competition set in the other most glamorous business in the world: the fashion industry. Supermodel Heidi Klum co-developed the series and appears as one of the celebrity judges. Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz of Project Greenlight serve as executive producers. Beauty and The Geek is an entertaining reality TV series. It is produced by actor Ashton_Kutcher and veteran game show host J.D. Roth. Dirty Sexy Family is a story that moves around the family of Nick George. After the death of his father, Nick ends up taking his father's clients, the Darlings, led by patriarch Tripp. It's not always easy for Nick handling both legal and illegal matters. Nick George goes through trying to solve and correct the problems of each of the Darling family members. From fighting siblings to a dishonest husband to dealing with Tripp himself, Nick George certainly has his hands full in Dirty Sexy Money. The hour long pilot was penned by Craig Wright and will be produced by Wright, Bryan Singer, and Greg Berlanti.

This Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI) produced sci fi series on CBS is an adaptation of a British thriller of the same name. The show follows Dr. Jacob Hood, a special science advisor to the US government who saves people from the worst abuses of science. He is accompanied by his feisty bodyguard.

The L Word teased its viewers as to what the "L" stood for in its opening credits sequence, in which a long list of "possibles" rolled past the screen: Laughter, Lattes, Luxurious, Lullaby, Libido, etc. Of course, the letter stood for "Lesbian" -- in this case, a tight-knit group of beautiful lesbians, all living and working in Los Angeles. Much like Seinfeld, the plots and schemes hatched by the Gang rarely result in lasting success.

The Pacific is an epic drama that airs on HBO. HBO released two promos for 10-part miniseries "The Pacific" which comes from the producers of "Band of Brothers". This show highlights on the war scene from an underwater view and the other is an on-set featurette that has the producers, writers and directors explaining the essence of the epic drama. It tells intertwined stories of three Marines, Robert Leckie (James Badge Dale), Eugene Sledge (Joseph Mazzello) and John Basilone (Jon Seda) in the course of World War II against Japanese. This is very popular show in Australia. The Pacific never feels like anything less than a cohesive whole. It's really a remarkable piece of television.

30 Rock is an American television comedy series which is created by Tina Fey. This interesting series is based on Fey's experiences as head writer for Saturday Night Live. 30 Rock takes place behind the scenes of a fictional comedy series. The name "30 Rock" refers to the GE Building whose street address is 30 Rockefeller Plaza. This series is produced by Broadway Video and Little Stranger in association with NBC Universal. Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) is playing the role of head writer on "The Girlie Show". When her new boss replaces the old boss she needs to take control and make up her mind in order to run the business smoothly.

Hawaii Five-0 depicts the life of Steve McGarrett. After his father is murdered, Lieutenant Commander Steven J. McGarrett decides to return home to Oahu in order to catch the killer. The governor offers him the opportunity to run a new task force where he is able to call the shots. Steve brings together his own team, beginning with Chin Ho Kelly; an ex-Honolulu Police Detective and former protg of McGarrett's father. Kelly has been assigned to a federal security patrol after being suspected of corruption. Detective Danny "Danno" Williams is a New Jersey cop who recently moved to the island to be close to his 8-year-old daughter. Kono Kalakaua is Kelly's cousin and a rookie officer, fresh from the academy. McGarrett's team is given full backing from the governor.

The X Factor is an American television music competition that has a goal of find new singing talent. The show was created by Simon Cowell and is produced by SYCOtv. It premiered on September 21, 2011 on Fox. As part of the British X Factor franchise, the program's format has numerous differences from its rivals, including American Idol, among others. The competition is open to both solo artists and groups and has no upper age limit. Each judge is assigned one of four categorieseither girls between 12 and 30, boys between 12 and 30, individuals over 30, or groups. Through the live shows, the judges act as mentors to their category.

Sister Wives is an American reality television series depicting the life of a polygamist family in Utah. Mr. Bean is an animated television series based on the British live-action series of the same name. Characters from the original live action series included Mr. Bean, Irma Gobb, Teddy, and the mysterious driver of the Reliant Supervan, with the addition of Mrs. Wicket, Bean's landlady, and her evil cat Scrapper. The series featured very little actual dialogue, with most being either sound bites or mumbling. The Hills is a scripted reality television series which originally aired on MTV. The show uses a reality television format, following the personal lives of several young adults living in Los Angeles, California, but tends towards a narrative format more commonly found in scripted genres such as soap operas. The series originally followed the personal life of former Laguna Beach star Lauren Conrad and her friends' new lives in Los Angeles.
